General Color Information

For the dozen or so Tourists I've personally inspected, the scooters generally follow the rules listed below. Note that the rules apply to all except where listed with parenthesis. In those cases, I list the models that follow the rules.

Main Body Color

The following pieces are painted in the main body color:

Accent Body Color

The only body piece that may have been painted an accent color is the legshield.

Frame Color

Heinkel frames are generally painted one of three colors: Agate Gray - RAL 7038, Cement Gray - RAL 7033, Yellow Gray - RAL 7034. I had originally thought an original color was Pebble Gray - RAL 7032, but after I saw it in person, I changed my mind. Agate Gray is much more authentic.

Black

The following pieces are painted black:

Tan

The pre-A2 models had a tan colored seat base. No other pieces were painted this color.

Chrome

Body Color Charts

The body color charts listed below provide an idea of the color combinations created by the factory. The colors are approximate.

If you seek an original color combination, you might take a piece of your body work to have it color matched. It is a good idea to find a section that has not been affected by light. A good choice would be inside the head lamp assembly.
