Gerry Goldberg's A2 Repair Journal

July 10, 2004

Gerry's initial parts order arrived! I love the feeling of seeing a box of parts waiting for me on my porch.

Gerry's cable set.

Gerry ordered an upholstery kit (seat, tire cover, trim, etc.). Typically, I sew my own seats, but I wanted to see their products. The quality looks very good. A few Colorado summers will tell us the overall quality. Gerry also ordered a complete cable set (gears, clutch, breaks, speedo).

Gerry's engine spares.

Mostly, the engine spares thrilled me. I had never seen brand new shocks! I had replaced sprockets, chains, and bearings on my A1 so that wasn't as exciting.

I have to say that the packing of Heinkel goods thrills me about as much as the parts themselves. I get a kick out of looking at the newspapers Frau Daiß uses to pack the parts.
