Some nice photos. Some nice photos.

Just in time for Mile High Mayhem #8!

Nearly thirteen months later, I have wrapped up this project. Gerry brought his A2 to me prior to MHM 7. His hope was to complete the scooter for the big rally.

Some nice photos.

Sadly, his scooter needed so much work, there was no way that it could be completed in time for last year's rally. Now Gerry gets his Heinkel with days to spare for MHM 8. I hope he uses the next few days learning the quirkiness of the Heinkel Tourist.

Some nice photos.

Gerry's scooter runs very well. I have ridden five tourists now, and his shifts better than the rest. Unfortunately, my A1 is probably the worst of the bunch. (I hope to fix that problem this winter!)

Some nice photos.

This scooter was a functional restoration - we concentrated on the motor only. This scooter needs too much sheet metal, it would be a waste of money to repair all of it. Once we find the body work (fenders, rear body, floorboard), we will pursue paint etc.

Now that this scooter runs, Gerry can enjoy it while I begin a full restoration on his second A2. Have you seen that scooter ? It looks just like this one.
